Hovey, Anthony (Tony) William. Tony unexpectedly but peacefully passed away in his sleep at home on Saturday, January 29, 2022. He will be greatly missed by his spouse Irene Martin. Step dad to Irlene Martin (Addison), and Frankie Guthrie (Todd). Beloved Papa to Miyah and Jakklin Martin and Kailey, Harper and Owen Guthrie. Brother to Mike Hovey (Shirley), Dave Hovey, Ann Vander Sar (Peter) and Terry Hovey (Carol). Uncle to Ryan, Jody, Jason and Kyle. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Claude & Jean Hovey and his much loved son Jordan.
Tony left home at an early age to join the navy, a life of travel. While in the navy Tony trained as a steward. After several years he finished his navy career on HMCS Provider. He later became a trucker and spent most of his life on the road. He was very good at it and enjoyed it. He loved to come home and see his grandchildren and relax on the deck feeding the birds and chipmunks. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will take place at St. Paul's Anglican Church Cemetery, Jarvis on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon in the Parish Hall.
