Peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital, surrounded by love, Doug was received into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Doug Yardley of Dundas, loving husband of Betty Yardley (nee Aspden) and the late June (nee Hardman), in his 98th year. Father of Judy Yent and the late Irene Osler. Also survived by Betty's children Gwen (Garry) Poster, Gail Attara, Bram Pieper and Jeannie Pieper. Grandfather of Gary, Carol, Sandra and Brian; Brad (Emily) Poster, Shannon Gray and Morgan Masuko and 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Brother of the late Harold (Lenore) and the late Cliff (the late Helen). Sadly missed by close friend Debbie Whatmough who cared for Doug. Friends are invited to call at Marlatt Funeral Home Swackhammer Chapel, 195 King Street West, Dundas on Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 10:30-11:30 am. The funeral service for Doug will be held in the chapel at 11:30 am. If desired, donations to Life Outreach International (Christmas Shoe Project) or Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
