Obituary for Eva Rayment (Rushton)

Eva was Promoted to Glory from the Woodstock General Hospital on Saturday, December 5, 2020 surrounded by her family and her best friend, husband Ken. She was the beloved mother of Karl (Diane) of B.C., Shawn (Shelly) of Knoxville, Tenn., Ian (Vicki) of Ottawa and Stacey of Nova Scotia. Eva adored her grandchildren Donnie, Christina, Bradley, Kristin, Chase, Danika and Jade. Eva was born in Mansfield, England into a Salvation Army family and remained an active member of that organization all of her life. She is predeceased by her older brother Jim Rushton and survived by her brother Jeff of Spain and nephews, Malcolm and Graham and their families in Cornwall, U.K. She will also be remembered by her many friends in Canada and the United Kingdom. A special thanks is extended to the staff of units 2300 and palliative care for their care for the whole family in this time of grief. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, cremation has taken place and family and friends have already said their goodbyes. There will be a celebration of Eva's life at an appropriate time in 2021.
