Dear Snyders and Hogeterps,
It with a saddened and joyful heart I learned today that my dear friend Evie has gone home to her Lord. Evelyn always made me laugh, and we shared sadness and joy when her sister, Lily left us. But the Snyders and Hogeterps and some of their friends are very Christian and know that Evie and Lily had been called Home to their reward in Heaven. My sadness is for her husband, Albert and her children, and the "mud boys", her grandsons that loved to play in the dirt. We had such good laughs over that. Evie was never pious. I recall the day at church when one of the mud boys was making farting noises in his armpit, and I thought Evie, and Albert would be outraged; but we all laughed together and it was so normal. It showed how much they love their family and loved our God as well. Evie has been taken from our lives, and a big hole sits there; but in Heaven, there is a large glowing area where Evie has been given her special spot to watch over. We will always love and miss you Evie. You were God's gift to the Earth and the people on it.
Your forever friend,
Beverly MacLeod
God bless all those who love Evie.

To my cousin Albert, and his children Trevor, Tom, Tyler, Ted and Family, and to the Hogeterp and Snyder Families, I send you my heartfelt condolences. I would describe Evelyn as a Cheerful Giver to her family, her friends and her work. I cannot imagine how much she will be missed by all.
May God grant you the peace that passes all understanding at this time.
As Evelyn believed in Faith, Hope and Love, I know that your Faith is strong, and the Hope that she is with our Lord is true, and the Love, that all of you have for each other, will get you through.
Sincerely, Annie Hansford

Albert and family,
Evelyn was such a joy to have as one of my late mother’s caregivers. She was always so caring and positive that even on mom’s bad days Evelyn could coax a smile and even a chuckle from her. It helped immensely knowing mom had someone so special with her when I couldn’t be there.
Evelyn has always greeted me with a smile and a hug and I know she will be missed by many. Albert, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
