Obituary for Gaetan Pierre Tisi
Gaetan Peter Tisi, 64, of Nanticoke, Ontario, passed away peacefully on November 30th surrounded by loved ones, after a brief but difficult battle with cancer.
Gaetan was born on March 8th, 1957 to Fernand and Jeannine Tisi in the city of Welland, Ontario. After graduating from Thorold Secondary School he went on to work in the grocery industry for over 40 years as a meat cutter. Gaetan was a hard-working, dedicated man and was well respected by all he worked alongside.
In 1980, he met Sharon White in Thorold, Ontario. Gaetan and Sharon married in 1981 and went on to have 2 children, Michael and Sean.
Upon his retirement in 2020, Gaetan was able to pursue his love of the outdoors and continued to work in a part-time capacity at a local golf course. He was passionate about his grandchildren, animals, and fitness, and continued to be very active into retirement.
Gaetan is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Michael (Sindy) and Sean (Sobia); grandchildren, Bianca, Charles, Mikaela, Eva, and Derek; his brother, Roger (Nadine), his sister, Denise; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews. In place of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate donations in his name to either the Canadian Cancer Society or the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society.
