Shelley, I am so sorry for your loss and feel a huge sense of loss myself. Every morning when I would come into work and drop off my lunch in the lunch room, I'd be greeted by a smiling, cheerful Gary. He was on his morning break. We'd talk sports (mostly CFL) and world news - and he'd jokingly comment on how tired (or not) I looked. He knew I wasn't a morning person (haha). He was also quick to inform me if there was any leftover pie in the fridge that looked appetizing (he knew my love for it). I fondly referred to him as my 'work dad' because he was always looking out for me and finding ways to help out. Mornings haven't been the same since he has been absent. I will never forget his kindness, warmth and generosity. He will be deeply, deeply missed. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I will have a heavy heart for a while, I'm sure. Rest in peace, Gary.
