Condolence: My sincerest condolences to Gary’s wife and family. As an outside contractor, I had the pleasure of working with Gary at Haldimand County. He took great pride in his work. Gary was a stand up guy, one of the best I’ve ever worked with. I am unable to attend the service today but please know I will be remembering him.

Condolence: Shelley(and family), please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. I knew Gary as a co-worker at Haldimand County since I started in 2008. He always had a morning smile and greeting when I arrived at work each day. He was quick to help if you need something fixed and was always happy to do it. He was a genuine, nice guy.He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: Shelley, I am so sorry for your loss and feel a huge sense of loss myself. Every morning when I would come into work and drop off my lunch in the lunch room, I'd be greeted by a smiling, cheerful Gary. He was on his morning break. We'd talk sports (mostly CFL) and world news - and he'd jokingly comment on how tired (or not) I looked. He knew I wasn't a morning person (haha). He was also quick to inform me if there was any leftover pie in the fridge that looked appetizing (he knew my love for it).

I fondly referred to him as my 'work dad' because he was always looking out for me and finding ways to help out. Mornings haven't been the same since he has been absent.

I will never forget his kindness, warmth and generosity. He will be deeply, deeply missed. Please accept my most sincere condolences. I will have a heavy heart for a while, I'm sure. Rest in peace, Gary.

Condolence: Shelley, please accept my most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. I met Gary in 2002 when I started work in Cayuga for Haldimand County. He was always willing to help anyone, and there wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
