Peacefully, at Norview Lodge, Simcoe, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. Gord Mitchell of Jarvis, beloved husband of Audrey (nee Smelser), in his 87th year. Loving father of Linda (Ross) Morgan, Chris (Lloyd) Betar and Beth (Ron) Berg. Grandfather of Travis, Robert (Jenny), Aaron (Margarita) and Beau and great grandfather of Taylor, Mitchell, Mae, Alison, Rebecca, Phillip, Steven and Chritopher. Brother of Maxine McEwan, Elgin Mitchell and Helen Dosser. Predeceased by his brothers Lawrence, Ken, Jim, Glen and Doug. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Sunday, April 7, 2019 from 2-5 pm. An Oddfellows service under the auspices of IOOF Jarvis Lodge #191 will be held on Sunday at 4:45 pm. Funeral service for Gord will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Monday, April 8 at 11 am. Interment Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Jarvis. Donations in memory of Gord to the Knox Presbyterian Church or West Haldimand Hospital and Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
