Suddenly, the Lord called unto Himself his child Greg from the St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Monday, December 5, 2022 in his 71st year. Greg was the beloved husband of Patricia (nee Poortinga) for 43 years. Loving father of Philipp, Daniel, Carly (Matthew Nie) and Becky (Leonard Eggink). Cherished grandfather of Elisabeth, Autumn, Amalia, Emerson, Matthew Jr., Dean, Levi, Calvin and Nathan. Greg is survived by his siblings Darlene Lambrect (Bill, deceased), Gary (Irene) Haskell, Patsy Haskell, Beverly Jean (Bill, deceased) Stone, Judy Haskell (Dave Cowan), Gord Haskell (Teresa Acton). Predeceased by brothers Dorland and Jerry. His in-laws Rose Poortinga, Hank (Joanne) Poortinga, Chris (Connie) Poortinga, predeceased by Andy Poortinga, Eddie Poortinga, Kathy Oussoren, Pier Poortinga. Greg loved his profession as a truck driver, and passed on his love of the outdoors and fishing to his grandchildren. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Thursday, December 8, 2022 between 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8pm. The funeral service for Greg will be held at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, 139 Talbot Street East, Jarvis on Friday December 9, 2022 at 10am with interment to follow at the Knox Presbyterian Cemetery.
