Peacefully the Lord called unto Himself His child John from West Haldimand General Hospital on Friday, December 23, 2022, in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Henny (nee Kerssies) for 66 years. Loving father of Walter and Richard (Jeanine) Tersteege. Proud grandfather of Kevin (Melissa) Tersteege, Ariana, Caelan and Liam Tersteege and great grandfather of Elijah, Emma and Isaac. Brother of Hilda Schotsman, George terSteege and Jane (John) Wiersma. Predeceased by his great grandson Russell (2018), his siblings: Ann (the late Martin), Gerald (the late Martha), Joyce (the late Cor), Mary and Ralph. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 3-5 pm. Following a private family interment ceremony at Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Jarvis, a memorial service will be held at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church on Friday, December 30 at 11 am. There will be a time of refreshment and sharing of memories immediately following the memorial service. If desired, donations to the Canada Foodgrains Bank would be appreciated by the family.
