Obituary for Major Karen Holland

From The Chatham Kent Hospice, on February 3, 2023, Karen went to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Karen (nee Thorburne) was the beloved wife of Stephen for 30 years. Loving mother of Kaitlin Grace (Joseph) Cantrell. Daughter of Majors David and Norma Thorburne (London, ON) and Daughter-in-law of Raymond and Etta Holland (Glace Bay, NS). Sister of: Kathy (Todd) Leach, Karla (Tim) Stoltz, and sister-in-law of Pauline Holland (Wayne ), Raymond (Anne predeceased) Holland, Herb Holland (Carolyn MacIsaac), Kevin (Chery) Holland, Anita (John) Muise, Donnie (Kelly) Holland. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Karen had a great love for everyone. She gave of herself unconditionally and made sure everyone knew about her Lord and Saviour. The family will receive friends at The Salvation Army Chatham-Kent Ministries, 46 Orangewood Boulevard, Chatham on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 beginning at 10 am. The funeral service for Karen will be held at 11 am. (The funeral service will be live-streamed on the church's YouTube channel for those who are unable to attend in person). Interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery, London at 2 pm. If desired, donations to the Chatham Kent Hospice or The Salvation Army Chatham-Kent Ministries would be appreciated by the family.
