Holland, Laura Freda. It is with sadness we announce the passing of Laura Holland at St. Vincent Hospital, Ottawa on Monday March 28, 2022 in her 99th year. Laura Holland (nee Van Haelewyn), formerly of Simcoe, lived a long, fulfilling life and loved to share her stories and home cooked meals. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her final days her grandson Connor gave her peace and happiness in his visits to help care for her. Wife of the late Clifford Holland and late Roger Clarysse. Beloved mother of Janet Smith (Brian) and the late Maureen Clarysse. Loving grandmother and great grandmother (GG) of Brendan Smith (Jessica) (Piper and Ruby); Kieran Smith (Barrett and Ronan); Connor Smith (Bonnie) (Amielya and Fiona). Sister of the late Irene Kelly. Laura was a member of St. Mary's C.W.L. and the Norfolk General Hospital Auxiliary. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot St. W., Jarvis on Friday 4-7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Church, Union Street, Simcoe on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.
