Surrounded by her children, it is with a sad heart we announce the peaceful passing of Joyce on Thursday, December 22,2022 at West Haldimand General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Howard Elliott (1999). Honoured and missed by her children Dr. Scott Elliott (Jill) of Brantford, and Christine Misner (Greg) of Hagersville. Very much loved by her grandchildren David(Julie) Misner, Olivia (Graeme) McMullen, Hilary (Ries) Vahrmeyer, Aaron (Erica) Misner, Hayden (Emmalisa) Elliott, Erica (Jason) Misner. Loved GG of Kane, Karson, Kolbie, Barrett, Madelyn. Survived by her sister Nancy (late Don) Fess of Hagersville, and brother-in-law Robert (late Shirley) Fitch of Lindsay and many nieces and nephews. Joyce came from a large family and was the sister of Cora (Harry) Temple, Dorothy (Jim) Mehlenbacher, Ellene (Bill) Blake, Ralph (Doris) Townson, Don (June) Townson, Ross (Rita) Townson, Hazel (Robert) Davidson, Charles (Marion) Townson. For many years Joyce and Howard owned W.J. Elliott and Son in Jarvis until their retirements. Joyce then turned her attention to volunteer work and playing lots of cards. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West, Jarvis on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A Private family service will take place followed by interment at Knox Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Jarvis. A public Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 pm on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the Jarvis Lions Community Centre, 18 James Street, Jarvis. While donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or West Haldimand General Hospital Auxiliary would be preferred and appreciated by the family, if ordering flowers, please reserve them until the January Celebration of Life.
