Emrich, Marlene Anne

Promoted to Glory from Norfolk General Hospital, Simcoe, in her 85th year. With family by her side, Marlene was received into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 1, 2019. Marlene (nee Baker) was the beloved wife of Henry for 63 years. Loving mother and “Ma” of Cindy and Brian Ryerse, Henry, Neil and Lorraine and Lisa and Ian Cooper. Dear Nanny of Jeff and Shannon Ryerse, Gwen and Jeff Lightheart, Crystal, Mitchell, Miranda, Shawna and Mitch Picard, Lyndsey and Ryan Seymour, Rebecca and Nolan Wren, Sarah and Nathan Richardson, Michael and Alex Cooper and David Cooper. She is also the great grandmother of David, Alana and Patrick, Sam, William, Ashleigh, Jenna, Gracen, Harper, Bodhi, Piper, Edith and Charlotte. Sister of the late Ethel (Don) Allen and Gloria Kennedy. Marlene is also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as numerous junior band members who were the beneficiaries of her love and compassion as she helped them learn music. She was also involved in women’s ministries, Sunday School, played in the church band and served as organist and pianist at the Simcoe Salvation Army for many years. The family will receive their friends at The Salvation Army Simcoe Community Church, 184 Colborne Street North, Simcoe on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The funeral service for Marlene will be held at The Salvation Army on Thursday, December 5 at 2 pm. Interment Vittoria Baptist Cemetery.
