Nancy Jean Siefker. After a courageous battle with cancer, Nancy died at Hospice Wellington in Guelph on Monday, April 11, 2022 in her 53rd year. Nancy was the wife of Steven Klein and daughter of Ron Siefker and the late Joyce (Mortimore – 2019). Dear sister of David and his wife Yoko and aunt of Luke, William and Collin. Mother to her adopted fur babies Ringo and Oliver. After completing her degree in Anthropology at the University of Waterloo, Nancy departed for Poland to teach English. She spent three years there and then continued on to Japan where she lived for another seven years. While living abroad, she enjoyed experiencing other cultures and travelling to exotic destinations. She walked along the great wall of China, visited the ancient city of Pompei, and went zip-lining through the jungles of Costa Rica. She eventually returned to Canada and settled down for a life in Brampton where she landed a position with Loblaws as a corporate trainer. She eventually transferred into a new role within Health and Safety and immediately became an integral part of the team. She moved to Guelph with her husband Steve in 2018 to be closer to nature and enjoy a less stressful life. Nancy has made life long friends across the globe and is very close to her family. We will all miss her dearly and will cherish the moments we shared, even though her time with us was much too short. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life will be held at Jarvis Community Church (formerly Wesley United Church), 19 Church Street, Jarvis on Saturday April 23, 2022 from 1-3 p.m. A formal time of remembrance will begin at 1:30 pm, (live stream can be accessed through Funeral Home web-site) but all are welcome anytime. A family graveside service will be held in Highgate at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Cooper Funeral Home, Jarvis (519-587-4414). If desired, donations to Hopespring Cancer Support Centre would be appreciated by the family. Friends are invited to send condolences and sign the Book of Memories at www.cooperfuneralhome.ca
