It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Paul announce his sudden passing on Monday, March 28,2022 in his 59th year. Husband of the late Michelle (Mulder) (2004). Beloved father of Lara Doughty and Rebekah Doughty. Dear son of Eileen (Phibbs) and the late Roy. Dear brother of Margaret and Bruce Carruthers, Gordon Doughty and Ruth Stephen. Uncle of Jessica and Rob Thomas and Heather Stephen. Paul was very active in his community. He was known as a 'weekend' farmer, a dancing dad at Stars on Stage, a member of Grace United Church in Caledonia, a theological student at Horseshoe Falls Regional Council, a proud minister for five years at St. Andrews United Church, Vittoria, part of the Search Committee and membership pastoral care committee for Grace United Church and a 'retired' hockey, baseball and football player. Friends are invited to call at COOPER FUNERAL HOME, 19 Talbot Street West on Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. and Friday, April 8, 2022 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service for Paul will be held at Jarvis Community Church, (formerly Wesley United Church) 19 Church Street, Jarvis, on Saturday April 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. A family interment service will be held at a future time.
