Our angel received her wings on Sunday, August 9, 2020. Vera Wight (nee Stewart), wife of the late Monty, in her 91st year. A lifelong resident of Nanticoke, Vera was the beloved mother of Bill Wight, MaryAnn and Ken Willson and Nancy and Wayne Smith. Loving grandmother of Michelle (Will), Kim (Jeff), Lorrie Ann (Matt) and Dwayne and great grandmother of Jessica, Kyle, Ashlee, Hope (aka Little V), Trent, Henry and Oliver. Vera was honourary Mom of Dana and John Stavinga, Lori and Brian Attard, Lil and the late John Doxtator and Gord and Chris Forbes. She was grandma to their children: Bethany, Adrianna, Josh, Noah, MaryAnn, David, Danielle, Amber, Dakota, Josh, Victoria and Haley; and great grandma to Emerson. Sister of Douglas Stewart (Diane). Predeceased by her brothers Tom, Ed, Lee and Bill Stewart. Following a private family gathering, a funeral service will be held at graveside in Oakwood Cemetery, Simcoe, on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 11:30 am. This service is open to all.
