Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Dick Nykamp can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Obituary for Dick Nykamp

Nykamp, Dick. The Lord called unto Himself from his home in Jarvis, His faithful servant Dick on Monday, November 26, 2018, in his 75th year. He was surrounded by his loving and devoted wife and sons and daughters. Dick is the beloved husband of Grace (nee Kok). Loving father of Grace and Randy Visser, Gerald and Rebecca, Richard and Danielle, Michael and Kaylyn, Karen and Rodney Gorter, Denise and Richard Feeney and Philip and Adelle. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren. Dick was a brother and brother-in-law of Trein Nykamp, Gerry Vanderschaaf, Tonia Nykamp and Diane and Harry Fledderus. He was predeceased by his brother John and brother-in-law Jack Vanderschaaf. Friends are invited to call at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, 139 Talbot Street East Jarvis on Thursday, November 29 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Following a private family committal service, the funeral service for Dick will be held at Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church 139 Talbot Street East Jarvis on Friday, November 30 at 11:00 am. If desired, donations to Jarvis Community Christian School or Juravinski Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
